Make sure you are hungry as there are many courses of excellent food. We were given a drink when we first got on board and then we went downstairs for dinner. You can go back up on deck at ant time to see the sights. We were entertained by some Thai dancers whilst we were eating and drinks were brought to the table. The drinks menu includes wine, beer and cocktails so you are not limited by choice. The sights of Bangkok were lit up at night and because you are gently cruising you can get some excellent photos.

Booked this tour for tonight (26th Feb) with Viator. Waited at meeting point for an hour and boat was a no show. No for the pain for trying to get a refund....

This was a very lovely dinner cruise up and down the river. The service was very attentive and we were very well cared for. Food was good, albeit much too spicy for my wife even when she asked for mild, so order no spice if you can’t handle heat! Drinks were quite average, so don’t order anything too complicated and you’ll be fine. The only real watch out is arrival. The pier is not necessarily easy to find unless you know exactly where you’re going. I recommend having your hotel (assuming you are staying at one) coordinate the taxi for you.

My partner and I took a cruise on the Apsara river cruise arranged by the friendly staff at the Banyan Tree hotel and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Food, ambience and and the experience of gently cruising along the river taking in the sights and sounds of Bangkok by night was an experience not to be forgotten. We were looked after by the very friendly First who treated us to a ‘First’-class experience!

I booked a Monday night cruise for us. It was fantastic! If you're staying at the Banyan Tree Bangkok, there is a free transfer from the hotel to the Apsara. We took advantage of this. The concierge took r drink order while we waited in the hotel lobby and when we arrived on the boat our drinks were immediately served. I'd emailed ahead our dietary restrictions and our menu was modified accordingly no problem. The food was delicious, hot and definitely home cooked; fantastic offering of Thai-style cooking. The Apsara is beautiful, harkening back to a time when these open air boats were a mainstay of Thai transportation. We even received a complimentary professional photo from our evening on the cruise. Views were beautiful, service was wonderful.
