Same dive sites each day, poor service, small rooms, small pool with ants. No wishes for the birthday spent there. Very expensive spa, few activities, very unattractive staff with zero personal touch. For the money paid we could have got a better vacation elsewhere in the world. An Only nice thing is food - not enough to make the resort a 5 star. No reason to come back. So sorry for the money wasted.

Wow, what an incredible resort! Spent 5 great days here, and from the facilities to the beach toys to the staff, and certainly the island I can not say enough superlatives in describing it. Our room faced Sunset Beach, had its own pool and view of the sunset. Room 7, great room, a bit of a walk to the main resort. The flight over is beautiful, with never ending views of the barrier reef. Be sure to go the the research center, early in you trip if possible it will make viewing of the reef that much more interesting. Taking the dingy for the day is a must, go to Watson bay, take a picnic and enjoy viewing 100+ old clams, 4 feet wide and 3 feet tall. Amazing. Food at the resort was awesome as were the staff that served. We took the day boat out to the outer reef, definitely worth doing. Amazing snorkeling, or diving, great private guided tours explaining what you were looking at, just a wow.

THIS PLACE IS SPECIAL. Why? Start with the location which is unspoiled by tourism and is something like waking into a Jurassic park type of landscape. You arrive on a private plane- with about 2 other people. Your room will be huge with views of paradise and complimentary Toblerone bars( did I say this is the best place ever) drinks, snacks, wine and beer. You will have 3 meals all included with SUPERIOR food and wine choices. We always had outstanding service with our meal - the chefs are brilliant. Now I’m getting to the BEST part. The staff is by far the most gracious, kind, informative hard working group of people I’ve ever met. The Ritz Carlton should take note. The assistant bar manager Sean ( correct spelling) is attentive, smart, hard working and funny. Magic ( probably not the correct spelling) helped us get on and off the dive boat and took care of the beach daily in the brutally hot sun. Our dive crew Harry, Liam and John from New Zealand made our day diving the Great Barrier Reef probably the best day ever. Words cannot express how magical this place is. Anyone who writes a bad review must have taken leave of their senses. I apologize to remaining members of the staff I was unable to mention but whoever does the hiring keep up the good work. #bucketlist

If you are looking for the most friendly, comfortable, and exquisite place to relax, this is it! Sand, sun, snorkel, dive, boat, paddle board, hike, relax. It’s all here! The spa was awesome with Beck, best pedicure ever. Ava was awesome on the beach, Magic was totally chill and helpful. The whole crew on the dive boat was awesome. The cabins on the beach are amazing. But the food, and diversity of menus was off the chart. Wine pairings to match.

We attended a special Penfolds wine presentation with two friends and had an absolute ball. It was along time ago that we stayed at the Lodge and the changes were remarkable. Besides eating fabulous food and dfrinming amazing Penfolds wines we managed to cramp in a lunch using one of their dinghies. Staff was very friendly and professional.
